October of 1998, the Fuji family opened our first restaurant on a small corner location in Wollaston Center. Our two owners, Jimmy Liang and Peter Tse, were only two years removed from high school and were looking to open a family restaurant consisting of the finest quality sushi, and customer service that was second to none. As years passed, and our clientele consistently grew, we knew that a larger location would be necessary to accommodate the large number of patrons that were often waiting for tables with our limited capacity. During the summer of 2004 we sold our Wollaston location and opened a new location in October located in Quincy Center at 1546 Hancock Street. Here, we are suited with a full size bar, over 115 seats for our valued and loyal customers, an 18 foot television projector, multiple flat screen televisions alongside the bar and in the bathrooms, and a stage that we utilize for our DJ’s, live show’s and karaoke night’s. And we recently opened the first, and hopefully of many, Beni ™ Café. Beni is located in North Quincy at 405 Hancock st. www.benicafe.com
Here at Fuji 1546, you can get anything from our famous Scorpion Bowls, our extensive selection of sakes, and our creative sushi dishes that have been created by our executive sushi chef Ming Cao. We also are available to accommodate private parties. From a business luncheon to a family member’s birthday the management at Fuji1546 is willing to work out requests so that your private party is everything that you wish it to be. Fuji will also make the karaoke machine and 18’ television projector available if the party wishes to enjoy these options.
We offer many different forms of entertainment and we try to offer as much as possible to please our customers, friends and family. We try to organize special events once a month, such as providing a live band, or parties for different holidays. For example, during these past few months, we’ve already had different bands entertain our guests, numerous liquor promotions, and our karaoke night is as busy as ever on Tuesday nights. We’ve also removed all the chairs and tables from the dining area to create a dance floor for special occasions.
